First Post

I just wanted to be the first post on the blog, so here I am.
I want you all to know that I am holding the fort strong back here in Melbourne.
Whilst all of you prance around the world, in search for some (fun and) Jews, I sit here - at my home computer :) - toiling in the work of shlichus.
"Lo Me'ever Layam Hee" - Right here in the heart of Melboune there are thousands of thirsty souls. Longing for their heritage, waiting for someone to reach out to them. But alas, waiting in vain as all the carriers of the torch of Torah have flown elsewhere. They have flown over the great seas to greener pastures.
I, my freinds (and Nachman) am the only truly dedicated member of the smicha, staying behind to take care of all those "aniyai ircho".
But now I as well have forsaken the masses, and I am heading on to Byron Bay. I have given in to pressure. Pressure to think that only Jews in far-flung places really count. Pressure to look elsewhere for Jews. Pressure to search far and wide for every last Jew. And last but not least, pressure to peel potatoes for the Seder.

  1. Short and sweet (hopefully).
I won the battle and am getting to go tonShangmai! thanks for all the support I received.
Reports of us being fed are accurate and our hearts are with the New Zealanders.
I hope to shop a bit today and check out Bankok before I fly out ( sounds a little girlish) and I will report back on how that went.
Over and out bit Iy"h not for long.
